About Our Products

Paverpol

The textiles and decoration hardener par excellence! Dip natural materials, such as textiles, in Paverpol. Drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and leave it to dry. Paverpol dries fast, but slowly enough to allow plenty of working time. After it has hardened, you have created a beautiful decoration or sculpture, which can be used indoors as well as outdoors. It is also possible to combine Paverpol with paper, silk,

chamois leather, self-hardening clay, polystyrene foam, dried flowers, wood, plaster, pottery, etc.

Paverpol adheres to almost all materials, except plastic. Finished projects become rock-hard without any additions, and outdoor garden objects do not need to be varnished unless they are painted with acrylic paints. Easy to wash off hands with warm water.
Available in transparent, bronze and lead color in 1/2, 1 and 6- litre pots.

Pavercolor

This is a pigment powder that can be mixed with Paverpol to change the transparent Paverpol into the color of your choice. The powders can be combined to make custom colors.

Mix the powder with a small amount of water before you add it to Paverpol. This prevents it from becoming lumpy.

The Pavercolor metallic colors will loose their lustre when mixed with Paverpol; however, the lustre can be retained by brushing the dried piece of work with the Pavercolor metallic color mixed with Josefine gloss varnish.

All Pavercolors can be mixed with water to obtain water paint. However, this technique can only be used for indoor pieces of work.

For outdoor objects (i.e. garden sculptures) you can mix Pavercolors with Josefine gloss varnish. It is then a proper outdoor paint that can be used for painting, brushing and adding patina effects.

Available in 28 colors.

Josefine Varnishes

These high-quality outdoor varnishes from Holland are extremely user-friendly. Brushes can easily be cleaned with water and soap. Available in matte and gloss finishes. These can be used to protect garden objects that have not been made watertight or resistant to the elements.

The varnishes can also be used in combination with Pavercolor in order to create a watertight

paint. This technique is used to decorate objects by applying color emphasis, dry-brushing or adding patina effects. Do not use the extreme matte varnish on dark colors.

Available in jars of 100 ml. and 375 ml.

Josefine Glaze

A transparent medium to be used in combination with Pavercolors to make a transparent paint. Not for use with metallic shades.

When used on paintworks the glazing allows you to put transparent layers of paint on top of each other. The colors run into one another in a natural way. Highly suitable to create beautiful backgrounds and for fresco effects.

Because this mixture of paint stays wet longer, you can make changes to it for a longer period of time. The glossy layer of glazing dries to a beautiful matte. Brushes can easily be cleaned with water and soap. To be used for indoor and outdoor objects.

Available in jars of 100 ml.

Pavercotton

A 100 % cotton fiber. When dipped in the Paverpol and squeezed out well, it can be used to make hair/wigs for the Paverpol figurines. It can also be used to make creative dishes.

Project idea: Cover a dish with cling film and put the Pavercotton tuffs dipped in Paverpol on one side of the cling film. The dish is only to be used as a mould, and will not be damaged.

After it has dried and hardened (for at least one week) you can take the dish off. The side that was covered by plastic will still need to dry. You have to be patient for this, but if you do, you will end up with a unique cotton dish which can be used as a creative decorative bowl.

Available in bags of 50 grams.

Stockinette

Stockinette is a very stretchy, open-weave knit used as decoration to clothe figurines.
Once the Stockinette is dipped in Paverpol, it stretches in length and will become twice as long. It is a highly decorative piece of textile, which can be used endlessly for decorating or draping.

Stockinette can be coloured with Paverpol mixed with Pavercolor.

Available in bags of 80 x 100 cm

Josefine’s Relief Decoration

This unique product is actually a highly-textured, dried woodgrain, which becomes pliable again when saturated with Paverpol. Relief Decoration can be used to decorate figurines or to create numerous types of decorations. It has a natural colour, but it can be dyed beautifully with Pavercolors or acrylic paint. It can also be used to decorate greeting cards or for scrapbooking. Available in bags of approx. 30 x 50 cm.

Josefine’s Shell Splinters and Josefine’s Shell Stones

Pearl-colored, iridescent shell splinters and stones are used to decorate Paverpol sculptures, especially for mermaid, fish and other aquatic sculptures. They can also be used for cards, scrapbooking, jewelry, decorating small boxes, woodwork, bags, small furniture, pottery and glass. The shell stones and the shell splinters can easily be

attached to non-plastic surfaces with Paverplast.

Available in bags of 40 grams.

Josefine’s Art Stone Decoration Powder

A fun product! Art Stone can be used in two different ways. You can use it to make self-hardening clay, or you can use the powder to created a stone-look finish to your sculptures.

To make a stone finish, use Paverpol lead color or Paverpol transparent mixed with Pavercolor Siena as a basis. (Of course, you can also mix with other Pavercolors if desired.

You can use a preformed figure of styrofoam, plaster, paper mache, or kitchen foil covered with masking or floral tape).

Mix the colored Paverpol with the same amount of Art Stone Decoration Powder until the clay is one lump that no longer sticks to your hands.

Cover your form completely with the colored Paverpol. Put the clay fully or partially onto the layer that is still wet—layer thick or thin, coarse or fine, whatever you like. Make sure that the bottom layer is wet. (If needed, apply a new layer of Paverpol using the brush.)
When your work is fully or partially decorated with the clay, scatter some powder over it and rub it in well. Apply some Paverpol with a brush if the base has become too dry. You can also scatter a little Paverpol on the wet layer and rub it afterwards.

This stone effect is not suitable for outdoor objects. If you want to leave the piece of work outside, you can use pastina instead of powder, which can be made by mixing white Pavercolor with Josefine gloss varnish. Apply with a brush. Remove the surplus patina with a tissue. Let the work dry and make it glossy with a lint-free cloth.

To make jewelery: Create stones of clay, use a skewer to make holes in them, and get a leather lace to thread the beads.

Available in tub of 200 grams.

Paverplast

This is the newest Paverpol product! Simply mix this powder with Paverpol (100 grams for 1 litre) and you can create an indelible sculpting pasta.

This is suitable for creating pieces of work that remain watertight, such as bird basins, fountains, pools, etc. It can also be used to provide sculptures of styrofoam, plaster, self-

hardening clay, papier-mâché etc. with a completely watertight layer. Varnishing is not required.

Paverplast mixed with Paverpol can be colored with Pavercolor. Store in an airtight sealable tray as it is an air-dry product. If the Paverplast becomes too stiff, you can add some Paverpol. Do not add water!

Available in jars of 100 and 400 grams.
